Hello everyone! I trust everyone had a lovely weekend? It was a long weekend here for us as yesterday was Rememberance Day and most things shut down for the day in NB. My son and husband had Monday off too so it was a nice four day weekend for us. Unfortunately, my husband and I spent a good portion of it moving and stacking the firewood we had delivered not long ago. We got it later this year than we would normally like but the place had a waiting list this year. Oh well. At least we got it. Just wish it could stack itself! Talk about tired and aching. Well, it could be worse. We could have to split it! Anyway, enough about that! :-)
I'm here today to share a card with you. It came about because of a few challenges. Take a look...
Lots of white in the card. I'm really digging the ombré tag I made. I took a premade tag (Recollections) and using my Spectrum Noir Markers (BT1, BT 2, BT4, BT5, blender) I created my ombré shading. Then I splattered the tag with some white acrylic paint. I then stamped my fancy flourish (Stampendous) and embossed in white. Using my Slice and the Noel design card I die cut my reindeer. I attached it to my tag with some foam dots and added some glittery teal wired ribbon to the tag. Using my snowflakes embossing folder (Darice)I embossed a white cardstock panel. I attached this to my white card base. Then I attached my tag with foam dots.
I'm going to link up to the following challenges:
Addicted to CAS - code word "Tag".
Addicted to Stamps and More - anything goes
CAS-ology - cue card is "Festive". Also create a tag if you want. Well, I've got a tag on my card. :-)
The Mixed Media Card Challenge - theme is Christmas with an option to use bells.
Fusion Card Challenge - I went with the photo inspiration. The colours, the ombré, the filigree pattern.
Well, I hope you enjoyed your visit to my part of blog land. Have a wonderful day and come back soon!
