STAMPlorations Inspiration #98

Oh my goodness it's the last day of September!  Where does the time go?!  Canadian Thanksgiving is just around the corner (turkey dinner, yum!). Soon it'll be Halloween.  This year my son has decided to be Harry Potter.  We started reading him the books and once we finish one we watch the movie. He just loves it!  :-)

Anyway, it's the last inspiration post over at STAMPlorations for September.  I've got another Christmas card to share today.  I almost have enough made for this year. :-). Check it out....

First, I stamped my stitched frames (Frames and Flowers set) in black.  Then, masking around them, I stamped my reindeers (Reindeer Games set), mittens and gift (Warm Hands, Warm Hearts set) and mistletoe (Christmas Bell Medley set).  I coloured them all in with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I stamped the sentiment (Reindeer Games set) in black.  I find those reindeer so cute and funny!

Well, I hope you go on over to the main blog and check out the other fab DT projects.  Don't forget to comment there for a chance to win a prize too!

Hope you enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #97

Hey there!  Tuesday has rolled around again and you know what that means. Yep!  It's time for an inspiration post over at STAMPlorations!  There's loads to see and inspire!  This is what I made....

I broke out my poinsettia (Holiday Sketches: Holiday Flower set) and using Seedless Preserves and Abandoned Coral Distress ink I inked it up and spritzed with some water before stamping.  I then splattered some watered down Abandoned Coral ink as well as Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls mist.  I die cut my sentiment (Merry Christmas Phrase Die) from white cardstock and then sponged on Seedless Preserves ink.  I attached this to my card and voila!  I'm really digging the non-traditional colours of this card.

Well, I hope you go on over to the main blog and check out the other fab DT projects.  Don't forget to comment there for a chance to win a prize too!

Thanks for visiting with me and I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Inkspirational Challenge - Prompt Word - Glamour

Happy Saturday everyone!  It's time again for another Inkspirational challenge.  This time it's a word prompt.  And that word is, Glamour.

Now, I had a bit of a problem with this word.  I just didn't have any stamps that fit any of the ideas I had.  Then I had a lightbulb moment and approached it from a different angle.  Glamour, when thought about in terms of magic and fairies, is a spell that makes you appear as something else.  Well, I thought I have several fairy images so I went with that.  :-) Check it out.....

I've had this stamp forever.  It's the first one I ever bought when I first got sucked into this amazing world of stamping.  It's by Stamps Happen Inc. and I'm pretty sure they don't exist anymore.  But it's  a lovely stamp and I bring it out every so often to play.  So, first I stamped my fairy in black Memento ink and then made a mask for it and covered it up.  Then I stamped my tapestry background (Stampabilities) using Mustard Seed Distress ink that I faded the intensity of here and there.  I stamped it a few times (sometime spritzing with water) without reinking it.  Then I removed the mask and coloured in my fairy with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I added a bit of sparkle to the dress and wings with my Wink of Stella pen.  You can see it better in the detail picture.  I coloured in the star of the wand with a gold Pentel marker.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment (STAMPlorations) in black.

I hope you'll take a trip on over to the Ink blog and check out the other fantastic cards by the rest of the team.  They knocked it out of the park, once again.  :-)

Have a lovely weekend and thanks for stopping by!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #96

Hi everyone!  It's Tuesday and you know what that means?  Yep!  Another Inspiration post over at STAMPlorations!  Today we've got a post jammed packed with inspiration.  I've got another Christmas card to share. I have a feeling that Christmas cards will be showing up here quite a bit for the next few months. :-)  Take a look....

I stamped my sleigh image (Framed Christmas: Believe in the Magic set) in black Memento ink and then coloured it in with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I added some Wink of Stella overtop of the entire image.  You can see it in the detail picture. I stamped the sentiment (Framed Christmas: Believe in the Magic set) in black Versafine ink.  I masked off the portion of the sentiment I didn't want to use.  I added some Christmas washi tape and glitter tape at the bottom to finish it off.

Well, I hope you go on over to the main blog and check out the other fab DT projects.  Don't forget to comment there for a chance to win a prize too!

Thanks for visiting with me and I hope you all have a fabulous day!

STAMPlorations CUTplorations Christmas Release Day 3

Hey Everyone!  It's Day 3 of STAMPloration's CUTplorations Christmas Release!

Today we are featuring the new Holiday themed word & phrase dies as well as edge/border dies and envelope die.  I got to choose 5 word/phrases and the Snow Hills stitched dies.  Here are my cards....

(detail showing shimmer of gold mist)

So, I used a variety of stamps to achieve the look of this card.  I stamped my poinsettia (Holiday Sketches: Holiday Flower set), the pine bough and ribbon swirls (Christmas Bell Medley set)  in white StazOn then sponged over top with Soft Suede (SU!) and Grey Flannel (Memento) ink.  The white StazOn acts like a resist.  Then I stamped with the same stamps and inks over top several times. Next, I sprayed on some Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold mist.  I die cut my sentiment and sponged Soft Suede ink on it and brushed on some of the Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold.

First, I masked off a couple of areas and stamped and embossed in white my snowflakes (Vignette: Christmas Block set, Framed Christmas: Believe in the Magic set, Framed Christmas: Peace, Love, Joy set).  I replaced the masked areas with some silver glitter tape (Darice).  I die cut my sentiment and attaced it to my card.

(detail showing tiny jingle bells)

My very first shaker card!  The side view isn't pretty but you can't see that so there!  LOL.  Anyway, I started off by cutting out my circle center piece with my circle cutter.  Then I sponged on Delicate Silver ink.  I attached a piece of acetate to the backside and added two layers of foam tape/dots around the edge of the circle.  I marked lightly with a pencil where it would be positioned on my card base and stamped my pine boughs (Christmas Bell Medley set) and then used a red glitter gel pen to draw on some berries.  I die cut my sentiment from red cardstock and glittered it up in red.  I then attached it to my shaker piece.  I filled up my shaker with mini jingle bells and attached it to my card.  I love this little jingle bell shaker card.  I may need to make more!

For this card, I masked off a section of my card on a diagonal and using the Holly Background stencil, I sponge on green ink and used a red glitter gel pen for the berries.  I removed the mask and added a strip of gold glitter tape.  I die cut my sentiment from red cardstock and attached it to my card.

I first stamped my mittens (Warm Hands, Warm Hearts set) and coloured them with my Spectrum Noir markers.  Then I added different trimmed Christmas washi and glitter tapes.  I die cut my sentiment and coloured it green with my markers and then attached it to my card.

(I used the stitched snow hills dies a bit differently here)

(detail showing gold shimmer)

I die cut the Snowy Hills from white cardstock and set aside.  I inked up my card base using Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry Distress inks.  I splatter water over top to get water droplets.  I stamped my snowflakes (Framed Christmas: Believe in the Magic set, Framed Christmas: Peace, Love, Joy set) in the same coloured inks.  I then sprayed on some Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold mist.  I attached my snowy hills die cuts.  I die cut my sentiment and sponged on Delicata Gold ink (I didn't have any metallic gold paper left) and attached it to my card.

I hope you enjoyed all the cards I made and shared today.  :-)

STAMPlorations CUTplorations Christmas Release Day 2

Hey Everyone!  It's Day 2 of STAMPloration's CUTplorations Christmas Release!

Today we are featuring the new stamp set called Warm Hands, Warm Hearts and the co-ordinating dies.  This set is so awesome.  I love the images and the sentiments are fantastic.  This is what I came up with....

I stamped the stocking and coloured it with my Spectrum Noir markers.  Then I cut out a small portion at the top of the stocking so it would look like the gift and candy cane are inside.  I glued the candy cane to the gift then glued them to my card base.  I attached my stocking with some foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment in black.  It is very CAS but I love how it turned out.  I can't wait to play with the other stamps in this set.

There are lots of prizes to be won and a linky party too.  Here are the details:

STAMPlorations Inspiration #95

It's a beautiful Tuesday morning here in Jemseg, NB.  It's warm and sunny but the humidity has finally eased off.  I may go outside sometime this morning and sit and read in our screened gazebo tent.  Best purchase this summer!  We've been able to enjoy eating outside on our new patio set without being bothered by the bugs. :-)

Anyway, it's time again for an Inspiration post over at STAMPlorations. Today my card is very fall themed. I love fall. I especially love the colors of the changing leaves.  Take a look.....

I first masked off a diagonal strip with a piece of washi tape on my card base. I inked up my leaves (Trendy Leaves set) with Spiced Marmalade and Seedless Presserves Distress ink.  Then I spritzed with water and stamped.  I removed the mask and attached a strip of copper glitter tape in its place. I stamped the sentiment (Friends and Flowers set) in black.

Well, I hope you go on over to the main blog and check out the other fab DT projects.  Don't forget to comment there for a chance to win a prize too!

Inkspirational Challenge - Photo Inspiration

Hey there!  I'm finally back designing for Inkspirational after taking some time off.  I missed my Ink buddies but I needed that rest. :-).  So, here I am, back at it again, hoping to inspire you to play along with us!  We've got a photo inspiration challenge this time and I think you'll like it. Take a look...

Isn't that adorable?!  I decided that I was going to use the image of the bear and suitcase for my card. Check it out...

First, I stamped my bear (Papertrey Ink) in Soft Suede (SU!) and then overstamped in white to lighten it.  (I should have chosen a different colour in retrospect.  It would have shown up better).  I added some "fur" texture with a white gel pen.  Then I made a mask and covered it up.  I stamped the suitcase (Inkadinkado) in black, removed the bear mask, and coloured it in with my Spectrum Noir markers.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment (STAMPlorations) in black.  I really like how this turned out despite the bear blending in with the suitcase a bit.

I do hope you'll stroll on over to the Ink blog and take a look at what the other DT members came up with.  All so amazing!  The GDT's project is so lovely too.

Wishing you all a fabulous weekend and thanks for stopping by!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #94

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Today my son went off for his first day of Grade 3.  Grade 3!!!!  Time sure flies by, doesn't it?  He was really excited and I can only hope that lasts as the years go by. :-)

Anyway, it's time for another Inspiration post over at STAMPlorations!  We've got some real beauties to share with you today. Sometimes my teammates really astound me with their creativity and talent. :-)  Here's what I came up with....

First I stamped my flowers and leaves (Frames and Flowers set) in Versamark black ink and Aqua Color Box ink.  I had to mask off just one aqua flower to stamp my oval (Frames and Flowers set) in black. Then I stamped my sentiment (Bloom Happy set) in black.  It's a simple design but I love it.  :-)

Well, I hope you go on over to the main blog and check out the other fab DT projects.  Don't forget to comment there for a chance to win a prize too!

Thanks for visiting with me and I hope you all have a fabulous day!

STAMPlorations CASEplorations September

Hey everyone!  It's time for another CASEplorations over at STAMPlorations!  This month we are CASEing one of our own STAMPlorations designers.  It's Ksenija (aka: Sweet Kobylkin).  Her card is just amazing.  Take a look...

I just love how she painted those coffee cups!  Fantastic!  I was really inspired by the colours she used, the kraft card base and the design layout.  Here's what I came up with....

So, first I inked up my leaves (Trendy Leaves set) with Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade, and Mustard Seed Distress ink.  Then I spritzed the stamp with water and stamped it on white cardstock.  I cut a strip out and then splattered Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls mist over top.  I stamped the sentiment (Bloom Happy set) in black Versamark ink on a banner piece I cut out.  I attached my sentiment piece first and then my leaves strip.  I really like the way the leaves turned out.  I think its one of my favourite techniques to do.

So, I hope you'll all pop on by the main blog and check out all the fabulous cards by the DT and remember there are prizes to be won too!

Have a fantastic day and thanks for dropping by!
