Well, like I mentioned yesterday here is another card and it is also a Christmas one. When I saw this challenge at Jingle Belles I knew exactly what I was going to do. Now the challenge is to recycle an old Christmas card to make a new one. I keep Christmas cards I get from family and friends for two reasons. To keep track of who sent me a card and I keep the ones that I especially like in hopes of reusing them somehow. So, here's my card...
The panel that contains the deer is from one of those cards. I loved these deer right away and the idea for this card came to me right away. It's a bit hard to tell but the deer are a gold foil so they don't photograph very well. I tore the paper to look like a snowy hill and did the same with the panel underneath with the sentiment. The sentiment is from Fiskars. I used my unknown bare branch tree again and embossed it in a powder called winter wonderland. It has sparkles in it. I love how this card turned out. I haven't reused my old Christmas cards much and this was fun to do so I think I may do more of this. I still have them all. :-)
Well, that's all for now. Hope everyone has a fabulous week!
This is a work of art card, Kim! I love how you upcycled those amazing deer with the fun snowy hills and that lushilicious yellow sky behind the sparkly tree. When I say "love," I mean, LOVE!!
