Hi everyone! Once again I'm guest designing for Paper Crafting Challenges and this time it's an "anything goes" challenge! Those are the best aren't they? I hope you will all join in on the fun!
**NOTE**. The anything goes challenge is over now. There was a mix up over at the blog and my card didn't get posted. It's a sweet colour combo challenge now that I still recommend you check out!
This time I decided to try a one layer card. It took a couple of tries as I messed up a bit but I think it turned out pretty good. Check it out...
So, I masked off my middle section and stamped with my flower stamp (from Eclectic Florals set by STAMPlorations) in Ruby Red SU! ink. Using the same ink I stamped my dotted flourish (Inkadinkado) as well. Then I masked off my top and bottom sections and sponged the same ink on the card base. I added a white line with my white gel pen and ruler. Then I stamped my sentiment (STAMPlorations) in black. Now you might wonder why I did everything in red and white. Well, I wanted to play along with One Layer Simplicity Challenge's theme which is to create a card using the colours of your home country's flag. Since I'm Canadian it's red and white for me. :-). I rather like the red and white colours together.
Well, that's all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!
love the pattern Kim and it looks fab in red and white x
ReplyDeleteSo so pretty!!
ReplyDeletePerfect - crisp and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSO beautiful! I love your stamping and the layout of this. Red and white looks very fresh! Thanks for asking about our puppy the other day... We are doing quite well with our I think! He has grown a lot -I'm joking that we accidentally bought a giant schnauzer... :) We are on the countryside now with hubby's parents and he has met a lot of dogs and people and has been doing very well -he is a bit on over drive but then again very sleepy too! I think he is enjoying his time. I hope Summer is feeling well too! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fresh, pretty card. It is clever how layered it looks while still being one layer.
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful and striking, Kim! It's amazing how it looks layered when it isn't!
ReplyDelete"Pretty good"? Nope, it's stunning, elegant and lovely! The decision to go with red: perfect! Now I need to add that set to my ever-growing STAMPlorations collection....
