Inkspirational Challenge - Word Prompt "Shine"

Welcome to another challenge over at Inkspirational. This time the rest of the fabulous DT and I are showing how we interpreted the word prompt which is "Shine".

I have recently been playing around with tinfoil and thought it would be perfect for this challenge,  tinfoil is pretty shiny.  :-). Take a look at my card...

So, I took some tinfoil and wrapped it around a piece of cardstock. Then I embossed it with my damask folder (Sizzix).  Isn't that a cool effect?  I matted my tinfoil piece with some teal cardstock and wrapped some silver thread around it several time and tied it off with a bow.  I attached this to my white card base and stamped my sentiment (STAMPlorations) in black.  It's a pretty simple card to make. I really wanted to keep it CAS as I wanted the foil to be the star.  :-)

You really need to check out the other DT members projects as they are all fantastic.  Hope you join in and create something shiny!  And please go check out our Guest Designer, Rocky, card and blog, Rocky's Crafting Blog.

I'm linking up to the following challenge:

This is AWESOME Kim!! I would have never thought to use tin foil and certainly not in this manner. The embossed image looks beautiful! Great complete look with the teal card stock and string.

  10. Running late with my comments, which I'll blame entirely on being with my family, and spending time with a rambunctious niece and nephew. Your card is gorgeous; I had no idea that tinfoil could be so stunning! Brilliant technique, executed perfectly! Inspired, inspiring take on *shine*
