Hi everyone! It's a cold Tuesday morning here in Jemseg, NB. But it's supposed to warm up and the next few days we'll be seeing warmer temps and rain. On the one hand, I'm all for warmer temps, but on the other hand, the rain doesn't really have anyplace to go so it pools and creates big sheets of ice everywhere. Sigh. I don't like winter. 😜
Anyway, it's time for another inspiration post over at STAMPlorations! This week we are showcasing our fabulous STAMP girl, Becca's stamps. She's the master of the pun and creates such cute and fun images. Here's my card....
I decided to use these cute little flowers from the Bunnies 'N Beans set. I created an oval mask and placed it on my watercolour paper panel. I stamped my flowers all over in black Versamark ink. Then I did what I'm calling "messy" watercolouring. 😀 Basically, I coloured outside the lines. I used my Spectrum Aqua markers and my water brush pen and splotched on blue and yellow watercolours over the flowers. I added some green to the leaves as well. Then using the oval mask I traced around it with a black marker to create the oval border line. I removed the mask and stamped my sentiment (Fond Expressions 2). I attached my panel to a dark blue card base showing some blue at the bottom edge. I've not done this "messy" watercolouring before and it was rather fun.
