First of all let me say, Happy World Cardmaking day!! Last year I didn't get a chance to make any cards for this occasion but I did this year. :-). I've got a card that I'm linking up to a few challenges. The first one is Less Is More. Their challenge is to make a white on white Christmas card. The second one is Christmas Card Challenges and their challenge is an anything goes one. The next one is for the current challenge at KIS (keep it simple) where the challenge #24 is All is White. Lastly, I'm linking up to CAS(E) This Sketch. They've got a great sketch this week.
As soon as I saw the sketch I immediately thought of snowflakes. It also seemed like the perfect opportunity to make my first white on white Christmas card. I'm pretty pleased with it actually.
I'm sure that most of you, like me, feel somewhat intimidated by a mostly white card. For me it's like when I paint and the white canvas just screams at me to fill it up. LOL. But it wasn't so bad, making this white card. First I stamped my snowflake (Hero Arts, Dotted Snowflake, F5793, this might be a Michaels exclusive since I can't find it online but it is from 2013) using my glue pad (Tsukineko) and then glittered it up with my dazzling diamonds glitter (SU!). I left a spot to stamp my sentiment (Hero Arts, Joy to All set, CL460) in dove grey (StazOn). Then I just attached my panel to a white card base with foam dots. Easy peasy! :-). It's too bad that glitter doesn't photograph well, because the dazzling diamonds glitter is just so pretty. The close up picture gives you a bit better idea.
Anyway, I hope you all have at least a little bit of time in your crafty spaces today to create. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
