STAMPlorations Inspiration #63

Hello!  It's time for another Inspiration post over at STAMPlorations!  We've got some awesome projects to share with you today.  My teammates always blow me away with their creativity.  This is what I made...

Yes, I know you probably don't want to see a Christmas card but it's almost March and I'm woefully behind in my Christmas card making!  I was going to try a make two of each Christmas card I make this year but so far I haven't been able to do that.  Oh well.  Anyway, to make this card I started off by  masking off a section of my pale blue card base with sticky notes I cut into a curve. Then I sponged silver ink (Color Box) on my stencil (Holly Background).  I removed the stencil and mask and took my two way glue pen a created a curved line which I glittered up with Dazzling Diamonds glitter (SU!). Then I stamped my sentiment (Holiday Sketches: Christmas Bells set) in dove gray StazOn ink.  I quite like this card and may make more in different colours.

Well, I hope you come on over to the main blog and check out all the other fabulous cards.

Hope you enjoyed your visit!  Have an awesome day!

Inkspirational Challenge - Designer's Choice - Geometric

Hey everyone!  Long time, no post!  I haven't been around much the past couple of weeks. First I had a bad head cold and it seemed that I was recovering only to develope strep throat a week later!  It was pretty bad too.  Thank goodness I got into my doctor right away and got some antibiotics.  Still took a good three days before I felt human again and could swallow without wanting to cry.  Not much fun. But I'm all good now!  :-). And just in time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational!  It is designer's choice this time and our wonderful and talented teammate, Pia, chose "Geometric".

I love the look of geometric cards but don't make them very often. Don't know why, really.  What I really like is a geometric background with a more organic shape on top.  Here's what I came up with...

I took my stencil (The Crafters Workshop, Mini Entrelac) and sponged on the following Distress inks:  Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers, and Mowed Lawn.  Then I splattered some water overtop to make it bleed a bit. Once that was dry I stamped my dragonflies (STAMPlorations) and embossed them in white.  I coloured them in using my Spectrum Aqua markers (Teal, Navy, Bud Green, and Yellow). I used my Faber-Castell PITT fine tip black marker for the bodies. I stamped the sentiment (STAMPlorations) in black Versafine ink and then added some sequins (Neat and Tangled).  I really love the dragonflies over top of the geometric pattern.

I hope you'll come over to the main blog and see what everyone else made this week.  Amazing creations, for sure!

Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you have a lovely weekend!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #61

Hey everyone!  It's time for another Inspiration post over at STAMPlorations!  We've got some great cards to share and if you comment on the main blog you'll be entered to win a prize!  Here's what I made...

I took my frame stamp (Blossom Overture set) and stamped it several times in Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade Distress inks and Lady Bug red Memento ink.  I masked off a section at the bottom first to create my curve and masked off a smaller section and sponged Peacock Feathers creating a small border.  I then stamped my flower (Ecletic Florals set) in the same ink colours. Then I stamped the setiment (Trendy Feathers set) curving it to follow the border in black.  I hope that all made sense. I'm currently suffering from strep throat and I'm feeling a bit off.  Throat hurts, fever, aches and chills.  The antibiotics can't work soon enough for me!

Anyway, I hope you are having a better week than me and thanks for stopping by!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge

Hey everyone!  Guess what?  STAMPlorations is sponsoring the new challenge over at Cupcake Inspriation Challenge!  And us STAMP ladies were invited to participate.  :-)  You have to take a look at the inspiration photo. Yum!

As soon as I saw this picture, I knew what I was going to do.  I've had an idea in my head and this was the perfect opportunity to bring it to life!  Check it out...

I took my cupcake (Sketched Cupcake set) and stamped it one on top of the other using a mask.  I coloured them in with my Spectrum Noir markers (DR1, DR7, PL1, BP2, CT4, GB6). For the white frosting I splattered Picked Raspberry Distress ink and Burgundy Spectrum Aqua ink.  I stamped my sentiment (Sketched Cupcake set) in black and I stamped the hearts (Frames and Flowers set) in Picked Raspberry Distress ink and Lady Bug red Memento ink.

I hope you'll pop on over to the Cupcake Inspiration challenge and join in on the fun.  Don't forget, you could win a prize from STAMPlorations!

Inkspirational Challenge - Word Prompt - Pop

Hey everyone!  It's time for another great challenge over at Inkspirational!  This time we've got a word prompt for you.  The word is, "Pop"!

I have to admit I had some trouble with this one. I kept thinking of pop as in the drink.  I have no stamps related to this at all so I needed to come up with something else.  This was harder than it should have been!  But this is what I came up with...

I decided to go with a pop of colour.  I did an inlay die technique here which I've only ever done one time before.  I used these number dies that I won a couple of years ago (and I have no idea who they are by) and die cut them from black cardstock.  Then I die cut the 8 from a bright blue cardstock. I inlaid everything on my card base and glued it all down.  I stamped my sentiment (STAMPlorations) and embossed it in white.  I outlined the black inlaid numbers with a white gel pen for a little extra "pop".  Lastly, I added some Wink of Stella to my blue 8.  This will make a fun birthday card for a girl or boy turning 8.  I'm sure my son will be going to birthday party soon where he'll need a card.  He just recently turned 8.  Crazy how time flies by!

I hope you'll come on over to the blog and check out the rest of the DT's projects.  They are all wonderful!  Plus, we have an awesomely talented guest designer joining us.  Tenia of Jazzy Paper Designs!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #60

It's time for another inspiration post over at STAMPlorations!  Sorry this post is so late going up.  I've been fighting a very bad cold this weekend and I have yet to feel human again.  So I'm going to make this post quick!  Here's my card....

This is a really simple idea but it took a little while to colour. I stamped the flowers (Blooming Buds set) on a blue/gray cardstock and coloured them in with my Spectrum Noir markers. I just used two grey markers (IG2, IG6). I added a bit of white to the stamen with a gel pen.  Then I stamped the sentiment (Blossom Overture set).

Hope you'll pop on over to the blog and check out what the DT has come up with this week.  They are all so amazing!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #59

So, it's time for more inspiration over at STAMPlorations again!  I hope you'll all come on over and see what fabulous projects the DT has made. I'm always amazed at the sheer talent of out DT.  :-). Here's what I came up with this week....

I had yet to ink up these fun banners (Balloons and Banners set) and decided it was high time.  First, I lightly drew my banner lines in pencil so I had a guide for when I stamped.  I stamped my banners in the following Distress inks: Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, and Spiced Marmalade.  I had to do some masking when I did my banner stamping.  I went over my penciled banner lines with a fine tip black sharpie.  I stamped the sentiment (Party Time set) in black.  It's definitely my CAS style but fun, I think. :-)

So, hop on over to the blog and check out all the inspiration!  Don't forget to comment on the main blog to be entered in for the monthly random prize drawing too.

Hope you enjoyed your visit!  Have a lovely day!

Welcome To Our Newest STAMPlorations Baby!

Our lovely and talented teammate, Deepti, has had her baby!  It's a boy!  She and baby are doing just fine.  Us STAMP ladies have gotten together to throw her a surprise baby hop.  We've made her cards (and now we can mail them off to her) and if you go over to the STAMPlorations blog you can see them all.  There's a Linky if you'd like to make a card for Deepti too.  Here's my card...

I used Deepti's stamp set, Anchored, that she designed. I thought that would be cool.  Deepti, I'm so happy for you and your new little family.  I wish you joy and sleep filled nights!  Unfortunately, at first, you'll only experience the joy.  LOL!  Big hugs!

I hope you'll all join in and make a card for Deepti. Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!

STAMPlorations February CASEplorations

Hey there, CASEplorations fans!  It's February 1st and that means we are CASEing a new card artist! Hard to believe that its February already.  My son turns 8 on the 10th!  Where does the time go?  Anyway, this month we have another amazing card maker to CASE.  It's Anita in France of My Papercraft World.  We are CASEing such a great card and an appropriate one with Valentine's Day coming up soon. Check it out....

Awesome, isn't it?  I really love those hearts along the edge of the card and the colours she used.  Now here's my CASE....

(All stamps by STAMPlorations)

I stamped my heart balloons (Balloons and Banners set) and coloured them in with my Spectrum Noir markers. I stamped a couple more balloons coloured them and fussy cut them out. I popped them up with foam dots on just the red balloons. I stamped the sentiment (Fond Expressions 2 set) in black.  I added a bit of highlights to the balloons with a white gel pen.  I really love how this card turned out. Thanks, Anita, for inspiring me!

I hope you'll pop on over to the blog and see what the other DT ladies have come up with too.  Outstanding projects, once again!

Have a fabulous day and thanks for dropping by!
