Howdy!

So, a quick post today so I can link up my card in time for a couple of challenges.  I haven't played for a while but I'm always checking out the challenges over at CAS-ual Fridays.  It just so happens I'm was able to play along this time.  The challenge was to use stitching, faux or real, on you card.  I don't sew on my cards often so I decided to fake it.  :-).

Here's how this card was made...

Make kraft card base.  Cut panel of white cardstock and adhere to base.  Cut panel, strap piece, and pocket shape of denim paper.  Colour and shade with blue markers.  Make stitch pattern with perforating rotary cutter.  Attach panel and strap to card.  Print and cut sentiment, fold to make it look like a clothing tag and adhere to pocket piece.  Attach pocket to card with foam dots.  Gather ribbon and adhere to card tucking it down into pocket piece.  Glue button onto strap piece.

I love this card.  It was fun to make and it just makes me smile.  :-)

I'm going to link up to Addicted to Stamps and More's current challenge as well which is "Make Your Mark" where you have to use markers or pencils or whatever to colour something.  Which I did.  :-)

Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a fantastic day!

Supplies used:  Cardstock - (white, kraft) Recollections.  Patterned Paper - (beige denim from Tradewinds 12 x 12 paper pad) DCWV.  Colour medium - (alcohol markers) Spectrum Noir.  Tools - (perforating rotary cutter) Fiskars.  Fibers - (red gingham ribbon) Michaels.  Accent - old vintage metal button.  Digital Element - (sentiment, Segoe Print Font) Microsoft Wordpad.  Computer Paper.
