It's another Festive Friday challenge and this time the requirement is to use a star.
At first, I didn't really know what to do so I broke out my trusty sketch book where I keep sketches of card designs. I came across one that seemed like it would work out just fine. I think it did too. :-)
**Update**. I'm linking this up to Moxie Fab World's Ready-Made Embellishment challenge.
First I cut a panel of my dark brown wood grain paper (DCWV, Tradewinds paper pad) and wrapped white ribbon around lengthwise. Attached that to a white card base. Next I took some previously cut holly (using my Slice and Noel design card) and some flourishes (Vintage Findings design card) and arranged those and glued them down. Added some twigs with berries I got from Michaels last year. Attached the bow and glued the pine needle pieces and the berries. Next I attached the star (Basics 1 design card) which was cut from ivory wood grain paper (DCWV, Tradewinds paper pad) and kraft cardstock. I added a little bling with a star rhinstone. It's quite rustic and not quite my usual CAS style but I really like it just the same.
Beautiful! Love all the elements you packed into a simple and clean design! Well done! :0)
