Birthday Butterfly

Just a quick post so I can squeak into a couple of challenges before they end.  I made this card for my friends birthday.  I love how it turned out! Take a look...

I embossed a small piece of white card stock with my Chevron embossing folder (Darice) and mounted it to my white card base with foam dots.  I stamped my butterfly (Stampendous) in black then coloured it randomly with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I added some fine brass wire antennae and used glossy accents to attach them.  I applied a thin layer of diamond ice stickles to the butterfly. I stamped my sentiment (Stampabilities) in black and then glued my butterfly down using glossy accents again.  I added some sequins (Neat and Tangled) randomly around.

I'm linking up to the following challenges :

CAS-ual Fridays - it's a tic-tac-toe this month.

I went with chevron, black, and sequins.

Addicted to Stamps and More - make a CAS card.

Thanks for visiting and have a lovely day!

  1. ....THUD! My jaw has dropped to the floor with the awe-inspiring, breath-taken-awa stunning beauty of this butterfly! Black cardstock and Spectrum Noir? Winning combination (where did you get your SN markers...I've been searching! Any recommendations for sets/colours much appreciated!). "Winner, winner" for the challenges, and most important, for dazzling and delighting your friend. She will LOVE this, as do I! Happy sighhhh....you've come back from your PEI trip with some amazing ideas!! Maybe I need to go there *grin*
