Hey everyone! It's an exciting April 2nd as I am being CASEd over at
Time Out Challenges! I was asked by the lovely,
Sandie, if I would make a card for the team to CASE. Of course, I said yes! They are being sponsored by Clearly Besotted stamps this challenge so I used one of my new CB stamps to make my card. You don't have to use CB stamps to play along but if you got 'em, why not use 'em?! :-). Take a look...
So, I decided to try something new with this card. I wanted to try colouring on black cardstock. I stamped my flower (Clearly Besotted, Winter Blooms set) in white StazOn ink. (You might wonder why I didn't embossed with white powder then colour. In a previous experiment, I had discovered that doing this and then colouring with pencil crayons causes the embossing to chip off). Then, using pencil crayons, I coloured it in. I added some white dots to the centers of the flowers with a gel pen. I stamped my sentiment (Studio G) and embossed in white. Lastly, I raised my panel up on foam dots and attached to the card base. I like the colouring on the black paper but think I may try some chalk/pastel pencils next time to see if I can get the colours a bit brighter.
I hope you will all try to join in on the fun over at a
Time Out and especially go check out the amazing projects the DT came up with. They are all so talented. :-)
