There are many ways to interpret this word. I decided to go with what will probably be the most common choice. Outer space, stars, aliens, robots, etc. You get the idea. Here's my card...
I took my white cardstock panel and punched three square holes in it.then I took my card base and masked off a section (that would be below the punched squares) and sponged Nautical Blue. Then I used my trusty splatter tool (an old toothbrush) to splatter some white paint. Then I took some dimensional stickers of robots (Recollections ) and trimmed them down and arranged them on the masked strip where the square windows would be. Then I attached my panel with the square windows with some foam tape. I love how those little robots are peeking out at you. :-). I stamped my sentiment (birthday from STAMPlorations, greetings from Hero Arts) in black.
We have an awesome guest designer joining us this challenge. I hope you'll all go visit, Sue T. of The Creative Studio, and check out her awesome project. The rest of the Ink DT has some amazing projects to share too! Hope to see you there!
Thanks for visiting and I hope your weekend is fantastic!
I'm going to link up to the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - clean and simple
Addicted to Stamps and More - anything goes
Virginia's View - layers and dimensions
Great design and I do like the robots popping in to scare us! Fab night sky and good tip for a splatter tool as it never seems to work so well with a paint brush. Hope you are feeling better x
ReplyDeleteWhat a great design and such dimension! I know many people (particularly, but not only, male) who would LOVE this.
ReplyDeleteFabulous, Kim! Love the colourful robots peeking out from the windows - your splattery sky looks great :)
ReplyDeleteOMG - this is out of this world - pun intended!!! Too bad I had my birthday already.... :( Stickers, huh - amazing!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteToo much fun, Kim! Your trio of robots are delightful...especially the green guy in the middle who I've decided is waving at whoever is looking at him! Cool stickers, for sure (then again, you have a son, so I imagine - as is the case with my niece and nephew - robot stickers are 'must haves'). Fabulous card!!
