One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #7

Hey everyone!  Yes, it's that time again for another challenge over at One Layer Christmas Card Challenge!  As usual, it's anything goes but if you want you can use the twist too.  You get entered in for a prize if you do!  What's the twist this time, you may ask?  Well, it's a colour this time.  Blue!

Colour challenges are fun, I think.  There are so many ways to incorporate the colour.  Now I know most of you don't want to think about Christmas or making Christmas cards but just think of having all your cards made ahead of time and no mad rush to get them done and mailed out?  Plus, because you need to make a one layer card, there are no worries about extra postage!  It's a win-win for sure!  Anyway, here's my card and I hope it inspires you to play.

So, I first masked of my rectangular area and sponged Nautical Blue (Memento) ink leaving an area untouched.  Then I stamped my moon and trees stamp (Inkadinkado) in black making sure the moon was in the area where I hadn't sponged any blue.  I stamped a variety of flourish stamps (Inkadinkado) along the top and bottom edges in the Nautical Blue, Grey Flannel, and black (Memento) ink. Then I splattered watered down white acrylic paint to mimic falling snow.  I removed the mask and stamped the flourishes again in the same colours but stamped off once to make them lighter.  I also stamped in Sea Glass (SSS) ink.  Then I stamped the sentiment (Clearly Besotted) in black.  I was inspired to make this card by a card I saw on Pinterest HERE.

Now don't forget to check out the other DT members cards.  They are all amazing, as usual!  :-)

I'd like to link up to the following challenges:

Winter Wonderland - "Let it Snow"
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - one layer card
Addicted to Stamps and More - holiday.
Christmas Card Challenges - colour challenge, polar hues

I'd also like to take a moment for a long over due welcome to some new followers.  A big warm welcome to Sarah Gray of Funky Fossil Designs, Becca Cruger of The Damsel of Distressed Cards, and Carole of Friendlylady.  I'm always so happy to have new followers.  Its always so fun to discover new card artists.  :-)

Well, I hope you all have a lovely day and thanks so much for stopping by!
