Just a quick post today. I've got to get my project linked up to Festive Friday before the current challenge ends. This is the inspiration photo this time around.
So much to draw from! I decided to use the red and white colours. I also decided to make a tag instead of a card.
So, I had to hand draw and cut my mustache (if you had a die that would be easier, but I didn't) and then I embossed it and the other white panel piece with my snowflake folder (Darice). Once attached to my red tag I added the white glitter letters (Recollections) and the white ribbon/bow. Simple but I think it's rather cute.
So, you may have noticed that the embossing folders I use are mainly by Darice. In case any of you are interested, I found a place online that sell a large variety in two different sizes (5 x 7 and 4.25 x 5.25) and their price is fantastic! $2.97 (USD) each. I've seen them go on sale for $1.97 many times too. They are called consumercrafts.com. It where I get my Spectrum Noir marker usually too. Best price I've been able to find and they also go on sale often. They've got lots of crafty stuff and while their cardmaking/scrapbooking selection isn't huge they've got some great stuff at great prices. Anyway, I thought I'd share that little bit of info. :-)
I'm also linking this up to Christmas Stampin' All Year Long where the theme is "anything goes".
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous day!
Fun! I love the snowy texture of the beard and moustache and I love the clean feeling of this simple tag! So glad you joined us at Festive Friday!ReplyDelete

What a fun tag Kim and such a creative idea xReplyDelete
Oh, too much fun! And creating the mustache by hand is impressive! I have a mustache die that's quite neglected, but you've sparked ideas...Thanks for the shopping spot tip. Scoot over to A Blog Named Here where the current challenge is 'anything but a card' ... tags are not cards. There...no hurry and add your entry! Hugs~cReplyDelete
