New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hello everyone!  It's new challenge time over at Inkspirational and we've got a fun one for you.  This time it's an inspiration picture.  Check it out...

So it's totally up for interpretation and there's so much there to draw from!  You could go with the colours the whale, the boats, the hot air balloons or all of the above!  Any style is good too.  Just make sure to explain how your project ties in just in case its hard to tell.  :-). I decided to go with the balloons.  My card is super CAS and the colours are different but my hot air balloon stamp is totally the same style as the picture.  Kind of old fashioned.  Take a look..

The balloon stamp is by 7 Gypsies and the sentiment is by Fiskars.  I stamped the balloon three times in pink, yellow and orange.  Then the sentiment in black.  It quick and easy and one layer too!  I wanted to use some bright summery colours.

So, I hope you'll all come and play with us at Inkspirational.  My fellow DTeamies have created some fabulous projects so you need to pop on over and take a look!  :-)

I'm linking up to the following challenge:

Curtain Call - it's a birthday bash!  Check out the inspiration photo (which is where I got my colours).

Hope you all have a lovely day and thanks for visiting!

  3. CAS and stunning, Kim! Your balloons are a wonderful choice for a 'best wishes' card, especially since I'm with Shauna in seeing hot air balloons as symbols of hope and inspiration. Fabulous take on the photo!

A relatively simple card, but the bold colors and large stamp make such a big impact! Great design!

  6. D'y'know - I have that stamp, and I have never been happy with how it came out (in fact, I have the set on a pile to put on Ebay ) and yet it looks BEAUTIFUL when you stamp it! Maybe it's the inspired use of colour, the clever placement on the side...I am going to rescue the stamps and have another try.
