Snowflakes And Lace

Its a chilly morning today here in Jemseg, NB.  The snow we got earlier in the week has disappeared though.  It's supposed to be a high of 10 degrees celcius today and sunny.  Unfortunately it's rain all day tomorrow and overnight there could be a dusting of snow.  Then on the weekend it get colder.  Winter has barely begun and already I want it to be over.  Not a good sign.  LOL.

Anyways, today I've got a card to share that was made with a few challenges in mind.  Take a gander....

Not quite as CAS as I usually like to do but I still like it.  I stamped my snowflakes (Hero Arts F5793 and LP209 and Flurry set by Technique Tuesday) in white on my brown card base.  Then I added some lace and ribbon.  I added my snowflake (a Dollarama great find), which is clear but I coloured it silver on the backside, and I also added some silver thread loops behind it.  I added a touch of colour with my aqua rhinestone.  It's got a country, homey, grandma's kitchen kind of feel doesn't it?  :-)

I am linking up to the following challenges:

a2zscrapbooking November Challenge - anything goes
Hero Arts Holiday Challenge - this card would fall under the anything goes category.
Merry Monday - create a rustic card using cream, tans, browns
Christmas Cards All Year Round- no patterned paper
Time Out Challenge - inspiration photo

Well, I hope today finds you all happy and well.  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Beautiful, Kim, absolutely beautiful! Kraft on white, snowflakes, lace, a whisper of aqua...swoon-inducing! We're off to Edmonton this weekend; chilly temperatures on their way, but I'm aiming to stay warm bundled up in layers of clothes and the snuggles of the kiddos!
    Hugs~c
